Hello there! I'm Kirsten Robertson, your friendly neighborhood Managing Broker at Windermere Real Estate. I’ve been selling real estate since 2003 working with great brokerages like Coldwell Banker Bain, Redfin and now Windermere. For 20+ years now, I've been helping clients turn their homeownership dreams into reality in Seattle, the Eastside and now Walla Walla too!
Background: I graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 1993. My journey started with over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing for renowned companies like Microsoft, IKON Office Solutions, and Cendant Corporation.
Equestrian: Having ridden horses throughout my childhood and into college, working with equestrian properties was a natural fit for me. At the beginning of my real estate career I worked as a buyer’s broker for Maria Danieli, arguably the most successful equestrian property broker in the Greater Seattle/Eastside area. I learned a lot from that experience, particularly in regard to working with large acreage properties and the challenges of adding buildings and improvements (barns, arenas, etc) in King County.
Modern Focus: While I appreciate all architectural styles, my heart beats a little faster for modern and especially mid-century modern design. Mid-career I joined, then became a partner in, the real estate marketing group 360 Modern. While I am no longer affiliated with them, the knowledge I gained and the passionate people I met who are trying to preserve these homes was invaluable. I still love this architectural style and enjoy my (almost) mid-century modern home in Kirkland.
Vacation Homes and Walla Walla: In 2021 my husband Frank and I purchased a second home in Walla Walla. It was a journey arriving at that purchase, having first purchased land in Chelan. We ultimately decided not to build there and we are so happy we ended up where we did. Our 1905 farmhouse is close to Whitman College and has been a labor of love. Buying a second home is a different process than purchasing your primary home. There are many things to consider such as whether or not to rent it out, what the local ordinances are for rentals, etc.
Walla Walla is known for its great wine but it has so much more to offer, not least of which is an amazing, inclusive community. Many people from Western Washington are moving there for the sun, the wine and restaurants and the small town feel. If you are interested in Walla Walla or in purchasing a second home, give me a call and let’s talk! Staying Educated: In the ever-evolving real estate landscape, staying ahead is key. I believe in the importance of continuous education, keeping abreast of legal changes, market trends, and cutting-edge marketing techniques. My goal is not just to be your broker but a knowledgeable and reliable partner throughout your buying and selling journey.
Join me in this exciting adventure of finding your dream home or selling with confidence. Let's turn your real estate aspirations into a reality!
